Benefits Of Reading To Children

We already know that reading is a key to success because it is a way for us to improve our knowledge.  Reading should be encouraged among children at an early age. Why? Because they will get many benefits by reading as storybook, newspaper or others reading materials.

1. TEACHES THEM ABOUT THE WORLD AROUND THEM
Through reading a variety of books, children learn about peoples, places, and events outside of their own experience. Reading also reports knowledge and information to their brains. Reading forces us to look at words that we might not have seen or heard in our lives. In fact, languages in children’s books are likely to be more complicated than their average conversation.

2. DEVELOPS A CHILD'S IMAGINATION
As we read our brains translate the descriptions we read of people, places and things into pictures. While we are reading a story and focus, we are also imagining how a character is feeling. Young children then bring this knowledge into their everyday play.

3. IMPROVE  ACHIEVEMENT
Beside that, children who read achieve better in school. Reading improve achievement in all subjects, not just English. Children who are good readers tend to achieve better in the curriculum.
 
 4.IMPROVE VOCABULARY AND LANGUAGE SKILLS
 Lastly, reading improves vocabulary and language skills. Children learn new words as they read. Then, they absorb information on how to structure sentences and how to use words and other language features effectively in their writing and speaking.
